Hello everyone, we have decided we want to buy a van and convert it into a camper van. We’ve started looking and researching and are very excited to be starting a new adventure.
Looking forward to searching this site for inspiration and advice.
Probably will be posting more asking for all kinds of advice.

The L3's and L4's are really not a problem to drive (once on the road it's only the width that you have to get used to and you soon get the hang of finding the longer parking spaces, and an L2 will be a squash. I would only go for H3 if you need more than 6'1" headroom.
Depending on your budget don't forget that new vans are available with between 33 and 45% discounts and are often no more expensive than a 2 year old second hand one.
The Sevel group (Fiat Citroen, Peugeot) tend to be used most as they have the widest squarest box to build in (A 6 foot bed ,or even 6'1" is possible across the back) and their rust prevention is better than most.
Transits more than a few years old need to be thoroughly checked for rust.
Suppliers like have websites which are good to browse to see what is available for your conversion.
And of course you can search members profiles and look at their photos for inspiration.
