I'm interested in seeing the finished product now I assume its finished. If I were you I would secure any bed framing and anything load bearing to the metal framework.

used anti roll bar link ends



after some time there was mishap
one ball end came out and i fell down



then i made new bed hangers with uniball linkages
lets call it bed 2.0

sry no pics for that right now

but still it was 4 independent hangers or linkages and it was tricky to lift it up and lowered
bed frame wobble and each corner moved different ways.
but anyway we used it 3 years
only i was who operated with bed rising and lowering it needed some effort

this year new bed 3.0

made two "U" shape bars and added gas struts too
now the bed frame moves all 4 corners same time and height
and thanks to the struts it moves easy and stays up it self
so my wife can operate with bed without me
