Gold L4 H3 electric bed build

Conception/Planning

Eventually got the logbook back as Motor Caravan , first attempt failed as it didn’t ‘look like a motor caravan from outside’ ... few graphics and logbook now changed.
Build has been interesting to say the least.. I put windows in and awning on within a few days of the van being delivered and then left it until June this year, and a hectic 5 weeks commenced with the help of David Black. Electric bed is on four 1000mm actuators from Gimson Robotics and is offset to allow decent size lockers on the offside. Bed slides up and down on poly sliders within Bosch Rexroth channel. 115 litre Vitrifrigo compressor fridge ( I’ve been very very impressed with this !) Thetford Triplex cooker, tambour doors everywhere from Tambourline. Kids seat is a Sportscraft item which comes as a frame only with seatbelt mounts made specifically for the Sevel vans , I had to get a 150mm extension made to raise it up, still needs work to make it
more comfortable for the kids. Electrically it has two Victron 115w panels , Victron controller with Bluetooth adaptor, and two sealed AGM batteries under the kids seat bolted through the van floor to spreader plates. Currently has a simple VSR split charge but that will probably change to a better B2B charger at some point. Sergant electrical system but has a seperate 7stage 30 Amp maintenance charger if we need more power than solar can provide rather than using the Sergants 12v supply. Since I took the pictures I’ve changed the small rear table for a cupboard again with Tambour door utilising the small table top in the same position . Solway panels throughout- made for the H2... interesting fit but I like the look. Polyvision windows with bonded rear. Horrex blinds except Van Demon curtains on back doors.2BA88539-E32B-4914-9024-512347DE92D0.jpeg5499DFBE-DAF2-4ED8-85F5-E1E66C32C77D.jpeg557411A4-E365-4689-8F0E-9B7306C2BEE8.jpegBE263953-F32E-41F8-8D34-DA13B1C0DA40.jpeg3BADB1E4-2E12-46B3-AF26-457E380F4301.jpeg070D41DF-A8A1-4755-8DDF-091AD6693395.jpeg1CEBCCE7-F5EF-4909-B721-CAF75795343B.jpegCF65A5B6-7B9E-470D-A37E-909AF13D588D.jpeg

The Base Vehicle

Brand new Boxer L4 H3 with a good few options, I’m not rich but a small inheritance has helped fund this plus the sale of the family caravan. Took 4 months to arrive from time of order , was restricted to just 12 options which was frustrating as had 24 on my original order !

Fittings/Electrics/Water/waste

Needed to replicate the modern Swift caravan we sold to find this van, so we have the same microwave as the caravan in the van , 115 litre compressor fridge (which is fantastic !) Therford triplex cooker, two 130 amp AGM sealed batteries , Victron solar controller with Bluetooth and two Victron 115w panels . Sergant 240/12v EC155 system, extra 30 amp 7 stage charger. Tambour doors from Tambourline. Polyvision side windows and plain bonded rear glass, Horrex blinds on sides , Van Demon curtains to rear glass. Truma Combi heating system same as we had in the caravan. I have a factory diesel heater under the van so no space for gas tank, two gas lockers behind rear doors under seats , one is just storage and the other is plumbed .
